I sold a childs coat to a person on ebay who wrote me when they recieved it stating that it was '"dirty and/or reeked of smoke when she recieved it]...p.s. no one smokes in my home] and i am sure the coat was clean and in excellent condition...but to satisfy the buyer i offered to give her a full refund and pay for the additional shipping cost if she chose to return it....2 days later she writes me and wants to know where her refund is...and i explained to her that i had not recieved the coat back and when i did she would be proptly refunded..she flew off the handle and said that is not what i had said i would do...[in other words...she wanted to keep the coat...and get the refund...when i told her she would be refunded when i got the merchandise...she gave me negetive feedback and dropped me down from a 100 percent rating ....and filed a case at the resolution center...[which has not been replied to yet...] my question is ...is there anything i can do about my drastic drop in feedback now that a lying person has hurt it????...and all they had to do was send the coat back for their money back???

Buyer: I am having a hard time trying to purchase this item. Everytime I try to click the pay now button, it says I dont have a buyers account, and i cant figure how to do this Me: Hi, I see that you are new-did you set up an account through paypal? That may be what it is wanting you to do. If this is not the case, I am sending you an invoice to see if that helps-not sure it will. If you cant figure out, maybe try the helpline-I dont really know what else to do because I have never had this problem before. At the top of the screen there is a Help space-click on there to see if you can get live help. Whenever I have had problems I have gone to Community (at the top) & there is an answer center (community at the top by the help section then click answer center then click miscellaneous)-it is a helpline where buyers & sellers get questions answered from other members. Let me know if any of this helped. Thanks Crystal. Buyer: I have a pay pal. When I click on the email it says that the item listed is not mine and I didnt bid on it, and when I sign into my account on ebay, i have nthing in my box saying i won the bid.. Me: Ok, so I call the ebay helpline-they were really helpful-NOT. They advised me to cancel the transaction & relist-perhaps I will get more bids on this item! I told him that you still wanted the item and were having trouble paying for it-cant make the payment & that it doesnt show up that you bought anything-he told me "that is the buyers problem" and suggested that you contact paypal to see if there are issues with your paypal account. I am at a loss! I truly dont know what to suggest. Did you get the invoice that I sent? I'll wait top hear back from you. Crystal
In August I purchased an item from an ebay member's auction. When it got to me it was not the same item as listed. I asked for a refund and the 10 dollars it would take to ship it back to them. I eventually received the refund and shipped it back to them in October.
It was just sent back to me with a sticker on it saying "return to sender; no such number; no forwarding address"
I have been trying to get in contact with the seller but no one is answering my messages. To make matters worse, I will be moving within the next month and won't be able to keep mailing this back and forth to them.

can I sell paint by number paintings (that I have painted)? I do this for a hobby and have quite a few that are just beautiful- is this against policy?
Since Nov 1st, I've sold 112 items. Of those 112, I have had to file UPIs on 13. Three paid, the rest were closed with strikes issued and my FVF back. At least I assume striles were issued since now there's no way of knowing for sure.
I currently have 4 more that it looks like I'm going to have to file on.
All of these UPI buyers run the gamut from a little to a lot of feedback and E-Bay experience.
I have had to file very few UPIs until this month. Has something changed or is it just my turn?
Does anyone know if E-Bay is looking at ways to reduce this problem? This is really cutting into my time and profits, not to mention the frustration.
When using a calculated shipping discount rule, is there any way to "test" it to see if it's working properly? I'd hate find out only after someone has bought something. Also, can I change "calculated" to "flat" in an auction after it's already live? I appreciate your time, thanks.
I recently purchased a scale to weigh my own things so I don't have to keep going to the post office and when I track the item, this is what it says. What does it mean to me? Stupid question, I know. Thanks in advance.
I bid $5 for an item. I received a counter offer for $17 to which I did not respond. My original bid seems to have been removed. Is it normal for the original bid to be removed and will it be reinstated prior the the closing date? There was no minimum bid required.
How do I stop those stupid e-Bay "suggestions" from displaying on top of the item I elect to view? How annoying to have to always scroll down!!! I'm trying to view specimen stamps and I get "suggested" listings for urine specimen cups! Is there a way to turn this lovely "feature" off?
I won an item, paid for it immediately through Paypal. I got an email from service@paypal telling me the item was shipped. It's been a while and I understand since the thing's coming from China. But suddenly I logged on to my account and realized the won item's nowhere to be seen, I haven't even given feedback since I wait until I've received the item. Should I be worried and start bugging the seller or do these things happen as sort of ebay technical mess ups?
I purchased an ll bean quilt from a seller. The quilt was not an ll bean quilt as stated. I contacted the seller and she said to ship it back to me and she would give me a full refund. I did but she only gave me the price I paid for the item minus the shipping I had paid her. I have filed through paypal before and gotten all my money back. This time I filed through ebay as that keeps popping up and I have been told by 3 different ebay people that she does not have to pay the shipping back that I paid her but they will give me a coupon for the amount as a courtesy. What gives with this? I am a seller and I have always given as I knew I would have to give the shipping costs back. Next time I will file though paypal. If this is a new rule I will just not buy anything else. Please respond. annie
i bought something local but do not want to pay the shipping cost. if i pick it up the seller wont charge it.i want to use paypal to pay for it if i do i have to pay shipping is there anyway around it? If i pay cash am i still covered if item is not right
