I have seen many sellers selling gemstones that are not what they say they are and some are not even natural. Example; I purchased what was advertised as a Spessartite Garnet. It turned out to be manmade quartz. The dealer is no longer selling on ebay, but there are alot more of these sellers still doing business on ebay. Ebay wants all this hype about new/used items, when they should concern policy about selling a gemstone as exactly what it is. If it's manmade then it should be listed as Lab Created. If it has been treated in anyway then that should be stated also. And they not sell quartz or anyother stone as something else. Some are selling quartz ( Man Made ) as Morganite / Garnet and many other stones. They are also selling man made quartz as real natural quartz.
For some reason I cant go in and put in a search and bring anything up. Is this a problem with my computer or did I do something wrong in Ebay? I am looking for Valentines presents and really need to get it fast...
This women purchased my item and claims that it is not as described she said she is a retired FBI agent and wants me to refund her fully within 1 day or she will leave me a negative feedback.
I replied her telling her to send the item back for a full refund or else i can't do anything. Then she told me she threw the item away because she was too mad and threatens me to refund or leaving me a negative feedback...
I've researched this question and can't find any info, and I'm very curious! Does eBay freeze or ban members with proven track records of fraud? And do they ever pursue the money they have to refund when a member commits such fraud?
I recently was the victim of a fraudulent eBay seller, who now has negative feedback from 25 people in the last month stating the same thing as I did - item paid for but was never shipped. I got my money back through eBay's claim system but am wondering what happens (if anything) to a member like this. They're still buying items (and receiving feedback as a buyer) so obviously their account has not been frozen. It must be very costly to eBay to have to refund multiple auctions like this (my own purchases totalled $46 and most of the negative feedbacks were from people who had also bid on multiple items).
Although I'm grateful to have my money refunded, I think eBay should make the scammer pay up and not let them keep the money they stole. As it is, this person made a cool grand probably with no repercussions.
I bought an item from a seller and paid for it within 2 days (seller requested payment within 4 days, I think). After 4 days the seller opened a UPI on me. I responded to him and said please check your records, I did pay. He apologized for the inconvenience and closed the case. When I received my item it was not the color I requested... which is really not that big of a deal, but still it's not what I asked for. I never contacted the seller because I'm not unhappy with the color I got, it just wasn't my first choice. I don't think this seller necessarily deserves negative feedback, but I don't want to give positive feedback either. What are my options for leaving feedback without risking recieving negative feedback myself? It's been weeks now and this seller has not left feedback for me yet. I'm guessing they are waiting to see what I do.
I had a few buyers not pay for their items and got my fees refunded. But my question is, when i go to leave feedback for people, the buyers that didn't pay still show up in there and i want to know how i can delte them. The only options for feedback on them is positive or leave feedback later.
I would like to leave positive feedback for four different sellers and when I click on the leave feedback button it doesn't "click". Is this a default of the computer or the web page?
Buyer bought sweater described as Navy blue, saw picture of sweater but wanted FULL return, including return postage, which she wanted me to forward to her. Said the boy's size 7 sweater did not match the Navy pants she wanted to use it with. Offered to refund $5 and she could keep the sweater to use with other pants. She refused, saying I misrepresented the sweater and that it was Royal Blue not Navy. I only had one sweater to sell, not Navy and Royal and I sent the wrong one. I wrote to her again and sent my address to her to return the sweater (though she had it on my mailing label). Then she wrote that I was to send her a prepaid mailing label. I did not send her one and now she leaves negative feedback and says I misrepresented the item and refused to refund at all and that I did not reply in a timely manner and that my replies were ignorant. She, also, opened a claim with ebay wanting a FULL REFUND but has not returned the sweater. Here is my question: I have read everything about removing unwarranted neg. feedback and want to know why I can not get it removed when it is unjustified and misleading, but if she says anything bad about ebay or PayPal that is unjustified and misleading they will remove it? Don't I also deserve fair play when it is ebay that relies so heavily on feedback and a Buyer can leave it with no recourse on the Seller's part? Thank you
I have a major problem, this may end my business with ebay altogether. What happened is this. I sold an item, the buyer never paid for it. 1. Why was he allowed to leave me negative feedback for an item he never paid for? 2. Why am I not allowed to leave anything but positive feedback for this guy who never paid me for what he was under contract to purchase? 3. Why does ebay allow people like him to completely stomp all over the seller, when the seller is the only one who is doing any actual work, having their profits taken by ebay, and then being dragged through a mess like this where the allow the bidder (even if he did not pay me) to CONTROL THE MARKET?. HE SHOULD BE SUSPENDED OR BANNED IF YOU ASK ME!!!!!!!!!
I have recieved neutral feedback. The buyer never ontacted me prior to leaving feedbak. Feedback stated "not what I expected" However, item was pictured and described accuratly. I have emailed the buyer requestng she change the feedback since its clearly not my fault shes unhappy. No response yet. The item is exactly what is pitured and described. What can I do about this situation?
I had posted a question on here earlier but I was unable to respond to it due to other responses. I have someone who is trying to force me to give him feedback. Upon looking intio it further I found I did not give any feeback at all due to it taking a week for the person to even respond to the invoice. Some other may not consider that a long time but it shouldn't take that long but that's not the issue here. If I block this bidder/buyer can that keep him from leaving any more feedback? He already left feedback back in Dec (when the transaction in question occured), can he leave it again & leave neg feedback? If I block him will it keep him from leaving feedback? Sorry, I personally don't like when people hit others up for feedback on ebay, it's cheap regardless of how positive the transaction was. After 3 e-mails over the course of a few days I want to be done with this person. I do intend on responding to them but I want them blocked.
Got the below e-mail message a couple days ago from a buyer who purchased something from me a while back, he left 2 of these since he purchased two items....
"Hi, I left excellent feedback for you awhile back. Could you please reciprocate on leaving feedback. I purchased this and another item"
I apparantly missed giving him feedback but honestly it was a while back & I don't remember anything about the transaction, though I thought I did give him feedback as I try to give everyone feedback. Woke up this morning to find the below e-mail. I haven't had a chance to look into all of this, but I found this last message almost threatening??? Threatening in the aspect that he's threatening to never buy from me again if I don't leave feedback etc etc. Pardon my French but WTF??? Just curious what you guys would do. I personally was going to leave positive feedback but after this last e-mail I'm reconsidering, any advice wold be appreciated.
Last e-mail I got this morning:
"Hello,This is my third time to contact you. I left you very positive feedback on this item & a train ad, as well. I don't recall any issues w/ our transaction. Is there a reason why you won't leave reciprocal fb. I do understand fb being optional, but as a seller it is good ettiquette to respond w/ fb to buyers who have taken the time to give a good review. I had considered buying other items, but I only conduct continuing business w/ sellers who engage in the fb process. I am very disappointed when I leave five star fb for a seller, then have to follow up for return fb. I used to sell and I found it to be an obligation to leave prompt reciprocal fb. Possibly you didn't receive my other communications. I always like to give the benefit of the doubt. Since this will be my third request for some kind of communication, if I don't hear back this time I will no longer make a positive assumption and I won't contact you again, nor consider future purchases."
