I am thinking to bring some cotton products from Bangladesh, about 200 lbs at a time. Time is not a factor. Anyone have a suggestion what is the easiest and cheapest way of bringing them to US?
I had set up several auctions of scrub uniforms to get rid of them, not what I typically sell. Anyway, it turns out an international bidder won 3 of them tonight. I looked through the listing and I of course didn't specify in the listing that I wouldn't ship internationally, however, the only shipping charge I do have listed is in the "Shipping and Payments" tab and it says that I ship to U.S. and nowhere else. I've heard bad things about international sales, so I just don't do it, due to lack of experience. Now, my question is do I have to mail these to Brazil? She's already paid for them, but it's going to cost WAY more that what she paid, obviously. She also has an unconfirmed address, but good feedback from other buyers. How do I handle this?
I have a buyer that wants me to pay his customs tax before he'll post fb, items shipped from USA to UK. All my listings clearly state the following:
International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
Someone from Australia won my auction and the item is going to cost about $13 more than what they wont the auction for.. I have only sold a few things on ebay ever and none internationally. Is this normal that people would do this? Should I be worried about this? Thanks!
I bought this pattern from one of seller I used to buy things. I know she can be trusted but this last time she have a big info on top of her shop about her family crisis or something, that's she can't respond right away. I understand that so I just keep reminding her about sending me a invoice of total amount i have to pay. I didn't rush her but now it's about to be two week and reminded her 3 time yet she still haven't responded.
Is it possible for me to abandon the purchase? I'm starting to be tired of waiting, especially of I can't reserve a correct amount to pay her because I don't know the total. I'm afraid to use my funds in Paypal even though I have something to spend it for because I'm worried that if she send me invoice she'll have wait and report me to ebay for late paying.
Hi, I have a little bit of an issue, well a huge one really. My partner recently bought a laser pointer, and we were told by the seller that they are legal in Australia, and would pass thru customs, and we were able to buy it. We purhased the laser but after several weeks it had not arrived, we emailed and asked where it was and they said they would send us 2 additional lasers to replace it. that was about 2 weeks ago. Today I got a letter from the australian government saying that they had confiscated the laser and that we may be facing prosecution. Im terrifed cos we have the other 2 lasers on thier way, and im scared that the gov will think we are trying to smuggle them in or something. I have emailed the seller and have not heard back. what do i do????

I've been trying to bid on folding pocket knife in the US. I live in New Zealand. My bid is declined as follows: Dear Buyer To prevent the circumvention of the eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie Weapon and Knives policy, it is not possible for you to bid on, or buy this item.
Thank you for your understanding.

I've emailed Ebay 6 times to question this and received no help. Anyone know why this is?
I wanted to bid on an item and saw that there was no price for shipping to Canada from the seller in the US, so I contacted the seller & was told that shipping cost to other than the US was not disclosed unless I won the auction. Shipping within the US is $8.50, so I figured it would not be any more than approx. $12.00, which is reasonable. For me to send a package that size & weight to the US from Canada costs $11.50. I won the auction, paid the price & waited for the shipping charge. Imagine my horrendous surprise when the buyer said shipping would be $27.50....ON TOP of the $8.50 stated for the US!! Total= %36.00 US to ship to Ont. Canada.......a small item like that!!!! I think it's criminal and eBay should not allow it! I know it's bidder beware, but I see so many sellers doing the same thing!!
I have a bidder from South Korea who wants to buy a guitar. I told him that I only would ship domestically and he says he has a friend in San Jose, CA, which is very close to me. He wants to know if we will ship to his friend. I can't tell if he is legitimate and I don't want to get into anything too complex. I would rather keep the guitar. Would an escrow service be a good option in this case? And can he ask to send to a local address through ebay?
I was curious if anyone knew if there are any regulations as far as importing radio equipment into the US from Hong Kong. I ask because I've seen 70cm and 2m handheld amateur radios that looked tempting (cheaply made, no doubt, but I'm willing to try). I wanted to make sure before bidding that there weren't import restrictions on such equipment (especially since these are transceivers). It's not worth it if I'm going to get in trouble.
I also heard that there are no import duties to worry about if the value of the purchase is less than $200. Is this also correct?
My listing clearly states that I will not ship overseas. Before I even answer his question he bids on my item and then sends me a message asking if I would sell it to him with buy it now. I told him that people have already bid so the auction must run to completion. Well he is the high bidder at the moment and lives in Australia. Any help would be appreciated.
