Im a new seller and just sold an item. Do I ship after I receive payment? and how do I go about shipping? I sold a PS3 and i have original box can I just ship it in the original box? any help would be appreciated thanks
I have a customer who ordered a few items, they were consolidated into one shipping, which is fine, but the shipping fee was also consolitated from four ($3) fees to one ($3) fee. Is there a way to adjust the shipping fee to more accurately reflect the charges since each item was listed at a $3 shipping fee? Or, am I at a loss on shipping and handling?
New Seller with paypal and usps & ups accts. Trying to figure out this whole idea of listing the most accurate postage amount and how it all works out with payment in the end. Q's -The shipping calculator shows up on one listing but not the other? -Does the buyer in some way change the postage listed to match their address and then pay me that amount whether its more or less than originally listed? -What if I list multiple shipping services? -Which shipping carrier is better, more reliable, easier to use and cheaper?
hello, on 11-16 morning I took a package to post office with d.c.# and insurance and handed to the clerk. On Tuesday went into pay pal and stated the usual, postage made out but package not sent.OK, I know the delivery system by now,so I waited.Today I took d.c #to p.o.clerk and asked, he stated that the new system sometimes doesn't scan until it gets there. I have never had this happen before.I get next day information even if it sits in p.o.Could something be done on my side. I already tried USPS.com Its from PA- FL Any help would be greatly appreciated.
after ten days of not receiving the item and no tracking from the seller i filed an item not received case. the seller did not respond until today and it was going to close in 4 days. He responded with a tracking number of the item. Check out the tracking at www.usps.com 4203 3173 9102 7850 9140 1266 8997 17
It still says accepted and its been more than a week. Is this a glitch or does it take more than a week for usps to update tracking?
I don't understand ebay's new policy about not letting buyer's choose whether or not they want insurance. People on this board say PayPal covers them, but if that is so why should I even bother to insure packages I send? I agree sellers should be responsible, but only to a point. I do everything in my power to pack the item well and deliver it to the post office, but after I drop it off the box is completely out of my control. I have no power to stop some renegade postal worker who is having a bad day and wants to abuse or even open my box. Yes, I've actually had items stolen in the mail before, it's not a joke.
If the buyer wants to guarantee he will get the item safely it makes sense to me that he should pay the $1.50 for insurance. I've had several buyers in the past opt for insurance, and as a buyer I've wanted to buy insurance on several items but the seller hadn't given me the option. Since I now can't even offer it I can either insure every package and add a handling cost so the buyer pays more anyway (even if he doesn't want insurance, so it is unfair to him), pay it myself (unfair to me), or just not buy any at all. The best option seems like the last, so I ask when it comes down to it is there any reason I should pay for insurance? PayPal seems to have given all the power to the buyers. Let's say I have sold an $80 item and insured it but the buyer wants to falsely claim he never received it and contacts PayPal to force a refund. Is my insurance going to combat that? How can I defend myself from malicious buyers who want to abuse PayPal's policies?
Hi, I just sold an item for which I offered two methods of shipping: priority mail ans parcel post.
How do I know which method the buyer wants to use? Will they email me? Should I tell them which method I will use?Do I use the first method (priority mail) by default?
Iknow, read! But I couldn't find this info anywhere, so thanks for your help.
Hi, I have bought several items from a seller with a respectable feedback. He shipped the items and provided a tracking number. But when I checked tracking info after several days it stated, to my surprise, that the item arrived to Sao Paolo. But I'm from Croatia! I contacted seller and he checked his shipping document and the address was right. He promissed to check with a USPS about the problem. Day after the seller inform me that it was a mistake in the post and that they will track the shipment down and send it to me. My question is: doey anyone know how long does it take for these things to clear? Or, how long should I wait before I start the item not received dispute? Do I have a time limit in this case? Thank you!
Hi Everyone, I have a situation with a currant listing that has a day and some hours left before it ends. The listing is for a Mathews compound bow. I received a question from someone that wanted to know if I would ship to a different country. I answered, that I would as long as it was not breaking any customs rules or regulation to ship it to him. I also ask what country he was from so I could check on it. He did not answer so I found that he is in Spain. No bid, no problem. I checked on the things that are prohibited and it says weapons, ammunition, firearms etc. Still no answer from him, so still no problem. This morning he has placed a bid on it. I'm in Ohio and the bow is not considered a weapon or a firearm. It is a hunting devise. Has anyone had any experience with something of this nature going to Spain or anywhere else? And if so and it can't go to Spain, can I just cancel the bid. I did not say that I would ship to a foreign country. I hope I am making sense here. I never expected this to happen, but of course on ebay I should have known if anything could go wrong it would. TIA
I've been looking through past answers to this question but I'm still not clear. I shipped PP on 11/13 from ID to IL. Printed at home and kept the "online label record" as always. My question is 2 fold:
When shipping PP, USPS charges the shipper 19 cents for the electronic option delivery confirmation fee.(By the way I love the OPTION part of this as IT IS NOT). What does this actually do? The buyer still says they DNR, the tracking says they did.
As the total, including shipping & the "option" fee was less than $20.00 and it was paid (as eBay demands) via PP, isn't their purchase covered by PP.
In order to keep my reputation, I will gladly refund all their money but I just have a gut feeling I'm getting....scammed. Any assistance would truly be appreciated!
I was sent a damaged item. the seller refunded my original purchase with shipping. I am unhappy about the cost to return it to him. I have no item and had to pay for his error. Do I just have to accept that this is e-commerce
Hi, I am having trouble with ebays shipping calculator. I use calculated shipping... The shipping is calculating ou correct for local states.
