I had a printer listed with a buy-it-now and an ebay user bought it and then decided to start asking questions after he bought it. He wasn't going to pay for it, so I wanted to cancel the transaction to get the final value fees refunded. He says he is going to ruin me, blah, blah, and declined the cancelation. Yet he still doesn't want it! I tried to open file a unpaid item so I can get the final value fees back and it said that I can't because a dispute had been opened and closed! What to do??
Hello, I need some help...I am new to ebay as a seller. I sold a 'Prada Women's Handbag' and now the buyer has sent me a threatening email. I was questioned when the item was listed if it was fake or real and I put it out there that this bag was a gift to me and all the hardware etc said 'Prada' and the price started @ $8.00...So now I get this from the buyer, which BTW, one person bought it and another paid for it and they wanted feedback from me as soon as they paid for it... "I have took this to dealer for Prada and they verified that this is not real prada I am going to give you till Saturday to refund me $35.00 back otherwise I am going to file a complaint with ebay as well as US Attorney office for selling counterfeit products on line and deliver them via usps which considered felony plus since you have sent this products via US postal service I am also filling complaint against your via US Postal Inspector office.... you have 24 hours!"
I have no problem giving them their money back, but how will this effect my feedback as they will obviously give me negative...and I also assume they will not ship the item back because of all the postal service comments...I suppose I can email back and ask for a tracking number for return, then I will refund their $$$...HELP
won item on auction and paid immediately with pay pal. Several days later my pay pal account shows a refund from seller to my paypal account no explanation given? Is this a legal transaction and if not what should I do?
I am a new seller on e-bay. The item I am selling keeps getting outbid by a person with 0 feedback. I happened to go to his account and he/she infact does have feedback. 3 pos. from the same seller, and the last says beware never sent payment from a different seller. These dates are all from 2007. Should I block this buyer and if so how?
Someone is offering something for auction but then says "I will only sell "Buy It Now" and you have to contact me directly and he gives his email address. I was looking at Bernina sewing machines and found this guy. He is also selling guitars that way. Is that Ebay Legal? Should I complain and if so, where do I do that?
Hi everyone, I've been an ebay member for quite a while and I've never had any hitches with my transactions until today. This is a bit long winded so please hear me out. A few days ago I had won an auction with a shipping price listed at $3.16. As soon as the auction finished, I paid through paypal.
Later that afternoon, I got a phone call at my house from the seller explaining that the price was from another auction template and was incorrect. Saying that she couldn't ship at that price, she gave me the option to cancel the auction, pay the difference of the post or have her eat the cost and ship the item. I was sympathetic and offered to pay the difference. She sent a paypal request for the difference of priority shipping (which I requested) which was $10.59. I didn't hear back from her but I received my purchase yesterday.
Now here's the deal. I left her a more than generous positive feedback this morning and thirty minutes later she emailed me explaining that the cost of shipping was way more than I had paid- $28.90 and that she had to pay the $15 difference out of pocket. I emailed a response thanking her for her kindness in paying the unexpected difference and she turned around and emailed this response:
"I'll be honest with you. My commission on this sale is $29.38. $15.15 is more than half of that. This sale required lots of time, including research, many uploaded photos and careful packaging with a purchased box. In the past, on the few occasions that I've gotten caught paying substantially more than expected for shipping, I've always let the buyers know, in the same manner as I did with you, never asking them to pay the difference. But they always have. You would be the first one ever to not reimburse me. You seem like such a nice person, so I'm appealing to your good nature."
After my initial WTF, I was at a loss for words and angry. What is this? Pressuring?? Despite knowing I shouldn't have, I was generous enough with paying the initial postage screw up due to her oversight. She received the payment for the goods and I've received them in the mail so this transaction is technically finished. As silly as it seems, I am afraid that she will leave angry feedback if I refuse to pay. Do I even bother responding to her? Do I need to report her? Could someone please advise me? :( Thank you.
I'm using eBay for the first time to sell an item of significant value and I am accepting pay pal. I have listed very specific details about my item and included pictures. My biggest concern is that I will accept an offer, ship the item and not receive payment or the buyer will try to reverse the payment. How is a seller protected from having this happen?
I would like to contact the buyer of an item that outbid me and offer him significantly more money than he paid for the item. Is there a process by which I can contact this particular buyer?
Per example, seller put US$200 price buy it now, no reserve and open to bid, too. The auction closes with US$2 bid. Needs seller accept so low value and conclude the deal? Thanks for information.
I had a bid on an item for several days that ended today. 11/18 According to sellers listings the item said it ended with no bids. It did not show on my ebay page as won or lost item. Does seller have the right to not let me buy the item?
I have listed the same item four times, the first three times it sold by using buy it now. Two of the buyers never paid and never responded to invoices or inquiries. One buyer actually paid fraudulently, creating a false paypal payment appearrence and then removed his e-bay registration.
This last time, the auction went to completion, I had several bidders with long e-bay history, but at the last minute a one-time buyer (in 2008) came in at the last minute to win the auction. It has now been 24 hours and despite sending an invoice, no response from the buyer. Based on the last three auctions that I have had to wait the four days before opening an inquiry, I am uneasy that this buyer will not follow through as well.
My question is how can I avoid this in the future? This is getting to be a little frustrating. why bid if you do not intend to buy?
I've sold an item, stated in the description that I request immediate payment, and if you cannot pay, please contact me BEFORE bidding. This buyer didn't contact me about making other arrangements, nor did he respond to either of the 2 e-mails I've sent him regarding payment. Today, 4 days later, I opened an unpaid item case. Ebay sent me a message saying the buyer denied the cancel transaction request, and they have closed the case. What's my next step? I'm confused by the fact that the case has been closed although no payment has been made. Please help!
I have purchased only a few items and sellers want money right away. I'm just wondering how many days do sellers have before they are required to ship an item?
