I have always been told PayPal and ebay protects us from getting ripped off, NOT TRUE, I bought an ultralight plane that was described as in GOOD shape, it is far from good shape in fact it could get someone killed but ebay nor PayPal will do anything they say it doesnt qualify for protection, I can only suggest to everone you better be careful buying if you are not close enough to inspect thoroughly, like me you will be on your own!! Any Suggestions out there????
I sold these sneakers that were too small for me. They weren't worn and I described them as they were. I even put new soles in them to make them fresh. Later I get a message from the buyer saying I deceived him and I should send him 30 dollars or else he'll give me negative feedback. This is terrible. I described them very well and put up many pictures...MANY MANY pictures. He keeps sending me warning over and over again asking for 30 dollars to compensate him. I have ALL the messages and you can even see the listing. Everything was mentioned and all the pictures are there. This guy is a straight up liar, I don't know how to deal with him....He's trying to take advantage of me......PLEASE HELP!
Hi - I just sold my Harley Davidson on eBay but the guy that placed the winning bid seems really shady so I wanted to post here to see what everyone thinks and ask for some advice.
I live in California. This guy wants the bike shipped to Florida. He asked no questions about the bike whatsoever before placing his $13.5k bid. He has zero feedback and has only been a member since 11/07.
I contacted him after the auction was over. He said he would be sending a "certified Bank Check from Bank of America, your bank can deposit it as Cash, it will be certified. After check clears that day I want the title sent to me overnight. Just sign off on the title and send upon clearing of funds, i don't want to wait for Cal. to reissue a new one, i'll transfer in Florida".
This seems really shady!!? Anyone got any advice or pointers?
I got a message from eBay saying that I've sent emails to members using the return address spamblocker-challenge@bounce.earthlink.net. Of course, that address is not registered with eBay, and their message, presumably automated, suggests that I could register that address with eBay! That is not my email address!
I've googled that email address and evidently I'm not the only one with this problem.
I always use the eBay message system and I am confused by this message from eBay. Anyone else have the same problem?

The buyer has 325 feedback 100% positive but I am sceptical. I just would like advice on what i can do.
I've listed an item and a new user with an accoun made today used the BIN feature, ending the auction. He then sent me this message:
"hello seller i am willing to buy item for a friend son of my who reside in nigeria as a birthday gift i will like you get me the shipment cost to Nigeria via "
it's obviously a scam so I flagged the message, and opened a dispute. I then relisted the item. It happened again. And again. And again. Each time with a different buyer on a new account, all created today and using variations of the same message. I've reported them all to eBay and opened disputes. How long will I take to have the seller fees credited back to my account?
I realize that re-listing it three times probably wasn't the best option but I need the item to sell before Monday so I've re-listed it after removing the BIN option. Is there anything else I can do to expedite my credit claims or stop the scammed from ruining my auctions?
I'd really appreciate some help with a problem I'm having with a buyer!
A buyer from Germany purchased an item on November 3rd. I shipped the next day, and on November 9th the tracking number states "Attempted Delivery Abroad." Of course, it's now November 18th, and I'm beginning to worry since there have been no updates on the tracking number since then.
I've tried contacting the buyer, but he hasn't responded, and eBay customer service won't provide much help. What are my options at this point? If the package is returned to me, what can I do then?
First time with re-direction of feed back to a non secure site after attempting to leave feed back on seller. Feed back was nothing less than positive, but was concerened about the re-direction, and closed out with out accepting re-direction. Another attempt was made to leave feed back for same seller and I was re-directed again, What's up E-Bay?????
Ok, so i've noticed there are many people selling "Kaspersky Internet Security Licenses" on here at a price that's like 1/8 of the retail price. Are these people selling legit licenses? Because most if not all the people just created their accounts recently and already have a high reputation. Is this a scam?
The reason I asked is because I purchased one of these "licenses" and a couple hours later (After I paid for the item) I get a message from eBay stating:
Thanks for your interest in this listing:
320442866420 - Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 (1YR-3PCs-Key) 100%
Unfortunately, the item is no longer available for purchase. This is disappointing for everyone, but sometimes it's necessary to protect you as a buyer.
There are three main reasons why we remove listings:
-- The listing doesn't follow eBay guidelines. -- The item isn't allowed on eBay or can only be listed under certain conditions. -- The listing contains pictures or words in it that may have created copyright or trademark issues.
I checked the sellers listing and all his listings have disappeared. He's also no longer a registered user. I know i'll never see this "License" but I was wondering if there are people out there actually selling legit licenses?
