There is no charge for just changing the description, so you must be misreading something. There would be additional fee if you added some non-free option.

No, they do not charge to revise.............If you added ANYTHING extra to those revisions, ie. extra category, bold type, reserve,  etc, then those do have fees attached to them.

BTW:  Every single time you revise an item, it starts the "indexing" process all over again..........Meaning it could take up to 24 hours for that listing to appear in search.........Keep your revisions to a MINIMUM

You do NOT get charged a Final Value Fee until the item sells of course..........how would they know ahead of time what the end amount is to charge you?

Any fees you are seeing on an invoice are for PAST sales........

No, ebay does not charge for revisions, themselves.

But, if you add any listing upgrades while you are doing the revisions, then you have to pay for the listing upgrades you chose.

Listing fees and final value fees are explained here. Auctions are at the top, scroll down a little for fixed-price listing fees:

The fees for optional listing upgrades are explained here:

When you relist, watch what it says on the page before you relist it. It will tell you what you are being charged for the listing. If it is anything more than $0.00 then you have some feature you are being charged for.

Fixed Price will cost extra. On the Auction feature 7 days is free, 10 days will cost extra. A second Category is an extra cost. If you edit your item, then watch at the bottom of that page to see what you are being charged to list the item. It should say $0.00.

THEY DO CHARGE  .20 to revise a 'Multiple Item' listing once 1 item has been sold.  Maybe a site error where system thinks you are 'Relisting' a 'Sold' item.
