I received my first return request. All cordial on both sides. Novice seller so I cannot use the automated returns process. There are directions that tell me how to go through PayPal. Final value fees already established. When I re-list, will I have to pay final value fees again?

Do not refund until the item has been returned. Instruct buyer to use Delivery Confirmation when shipping.

 

Once you have rec'd the item, refund through the drop down menu on the item.

 

After all this is accomplished, ask the seller to agree to the Cancel Sales Request.

Buyers can be "leery" of this request as it looks like a case is being filed. This simply allows both of you to move on from the transaction, allows you to re-list freely and recoup the Final Value Fees. They will be credited back to your eBay account once the buyer agrees.

 

Be sure to fully understand this policy so you can explain it to the buyer. If they don't agree, you will not recover the fees.
