buy-it-now and make offer buttons on listing.  sent seller offer on buying more than one qty at lower cost than the buy-it-now price. afterwards seller changed the buy-it-now to $6 more. what is this scam called? is this reportable. asked seller about doing this and seller denied but gave no explanation.

if it was a buy it now they can jack up the price anytime they like to.

Move on find another seller of same item

It's not a scam if you didn't pay.

 

No, it's not reportable.

 

The item is still the seller's until the hammer comes down - he can raise the price by $600 more if he wants.

Scam?  What scam?

 

The only policy violation here is you offering to buy items off eBay (your request for unlisted - i.e. multiple - items).

Would a reputable seller behave this way? Walk away from this interaction knowing this seller doesn't meet your standards of professionalism and good faith! Who would ever want to transact with a greedy manipulating rude weasel? Don't waste another breath on this and continue your search for your item from a polite respectful human. That's because you are not entitled to one.

 

Find another seller as I'm sure this one has placed you on their blocked bidders list.

 

A scam would be if you paid for something and got nothing or you paid and got something totally inferior to what you thought you were buying. There was no scam here.

The seller should be thanking you. Your lowball offer made him take another look at his item and realize that it was worth more than he thpught.

While he has undoubtedly put you on his BBL, you probably will make him a substantial profit.
