My first item is being won by a member since 10/2011 but has ZERO history. I'm worried they may say they didn't receive the item. Thoughts?

If you ship with a tracking number like your supposed to, that won't be a problem. It also has to be signed for if over 250 dollars.

Let me add that you want to get delivery confirmation even if the item isn't over $250.  That level requires signature confirmation.  If you follow those practices you are protected from someone claiming they didn't get the item.

And if you just want to be comfortable, spend a couple of dollars to add signature confirmation when you purchase the shipping.  That will get a signature at delivery.

When you had zero history, did you win an item and then claim you didn't receive it? Is that why you would even think about this? Otherwise this is a a normal sale. Send with Delivery Confirmation. (You know what this is, right?)

You started with zero history.

I'm worried they may say they didn't receive the item.

Why would someone who became a member in 2011 be any more likely to be a cheat than someone who became a member yesterday?

As advised, if you ship with DC as you are required to do for seller protection, it's a moot point isn't it?

I appreciate the first helpful feedback.  I asked a simple question to a supposed "friendly" community.  Yes, I know what delivery confirmation is . I'm a new seller, not an ignorant seller.  Yes, I started with zero history.  But seeing someone with zero feedback after a year and 1/2 on eBay gave me pause.  Just wanted to be cautious and, again, asked a simple question for helpful advise.  There seem to be some very nasty people here.
