Why do some items sell with several bids while other identical items at sometimes lower prices never get a bid?  Does it have anything to do with the time frame the item is posted, such as weekends?  Example would be a brand new tin sign for sale.

There are a lot of variables; how much shipping one seller is charging versus the other; where is the seller located; the seller's feedback (if they have a lot of negs, that will scare potential bidders away; the seller's experience or lack of; how long the item was listed at the time you saw it (if it was newly listed, it would most likely not have any bids).

It could be all of the above or none of the above. With millions of sellers listing many of the same things, it is no surprise some items sell and other don't.
