After listing an item in one category, and receiving bids on that item, can I put the same listing in another category?

After listing an item in one category, and receiving bids on that item, can I put the same listing in another category?

I put my first listing up  (auction) earlier this evening in what I now realize is a obscure category.  I have received a couple of bids on the item, but I wanted to know if I can add or import the listing to another category in order to get more exposure?  thanks

Not so much "obscure" as incorrect category. You can't change it but you can add a 2nd category (for a fee).

You already have 4 bids in the first 6 hours. This auction will do well for you.

If I may suggest something, A vague statement like "if I can find the dvd you will get that too" is a really good way to get in trouble with your winning bidder. You either have it, or you don't...find it and say so, or remove the statement. A neg feedback right out of the gate will cause you big problems with ebay.

AND, make sure you learn the seller protection program and follow it to make sure you don't get scammed.

Alot of buyers use the search feature by title, rather than the category.  You already have bids, so you can't change it.  If you add a 2nd category, it will cost you insertion fees again.  I agree that your item is fine right now, already getting bids.  It's up to you if you want to add another category.

BTW, you are violating eBay policy by not having a pic of the actual item you are selling.

(Where did you get the stock pic? Did you "borrow" it from a website?)

For used items, which this is, you really need to have actual pictures of the item.

It's ok, according to eBay, to use stock photos for a brand new item.  But for used items, you need to have actual photos.
