10 days. But that's still too long. 7 days is ideal.

Usually people who ask this question see a listing of 22 days, etc.....    those are Fixed Price listings, which have a maximum duration of 30 days.    

 

An 'auction' listing format has a maximum of 10 days, with the last 3 days being an additional fee.  

 

eBay offers durations of 1,3,5,7 for the same price.     If you are eligible for free insertion fees, all of these durations would be free.

 

A 10-day auction format listing has an additional fee, something crazy like $0.40 for the additional fee.   This duration rarely (if ever?) has a price reduction.
