i placed a bid auction ends in like 14 hours i found same seller further down the line had a buy it now option cheaper so i bought it how can i remove my bid so as not to have 2 sets of these.

You can't retract/remove your bid. You should not be bidding on the same item twice if you don't want both items. If you win you are required to pay.

 

You can ask the seller to cancel your bid, however they aren't required to do so.

No you can't.

 

Ebay tells you specifically to NEVER bid/buy two like items unless you are wanting to purchase two.

I also wanted to add:

 

You need to do your searching BEFORE you bid......Not after.  Once you bid, you have entered into a binding contract to purchase should you win..........

 

 

You have a "watch list" that you should be utilizing.  Put all listings that you are interested in your watch list........THEN make your decision.

E-bay states for buyers not to bid on two of the same item. Were you not aware of the fact that once you bid, you enter into a leagal binding contract to pay if you win.

 

Try to contact the seller and see if they will cancel your bid. They don't have to. And, if they don't cancel then accept the responsibility and accountability it was your mistake. Christmas is around the corner. Maybe the second item will make a excellent gift for a family member or friend.

Finding it cheaper isn't a valid reason to retract a bid. You search carefully before placing a bid because once you bid you are obligated to go through with the purchase if you win.
