Does that even sound like a good idea?

It is ILLEGAL in many states to do that...

eBay tools won't let you anyway.

since shill bidding is a crime, it is not allowed. Ebay has sophisticated means to prevent it and should you be detected you would be suspended.

No you can not bid on your items...use a valid reason and end the auction...if you don't want to sell it...go down to the bottom of any page to site map and read up on sellers guidelines

That is shill bidding. It is a felony.

No, you are not allowed to bid on your own listings.

No... that's called *shill* bidding.  It's illegal, and eBay's computers will stop you from placing a bid.

Both of your items only have a short time to go, so you can't end the listings early... you'll have to honor the high bids.

Are you kidding?  Of course you can not.  This is a felony!  Perhaps you should read about basic bidding rules before you make an expensive mistake.  Go to customer support tab, enter Bidding basics.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

Shilling is a felony, punishable by law.

End the listings early but cancel the bids first.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/end_early.html

Then do some reading of the rules before trying to sell anything else.

Start by browsing the A to Z help files.

Start with the links on buying and the links on selling.

Only if you're morally and ethically bankrupt and don't mind committing a felony.

Just because you think you've been scammed doesn't mean it's true. Chances are, you're wrong.
