Sorry, ebay sellers cannot bid on their own items, and sellers can end an item early for a few reasons, Item Broken, Lost etc.

If the previous winning bidder didn't pay or had the transaction canceled, the seller has the right to relist the item that wasn't actually sold.

This to me is 50-50 shilling suspicion.  I can't tell if the seller just has an obnoxious bidder or if he is pretending to have one.  He did cancel at least one of this person's bid with the comment 'STOP BIDDING ON EVERYTHING,' but that could be a ruse.  I don't think so... I think this is someone bidding and not paying.  He has 3 retractions.  He's bidding on coins too.  It's hard to say.  He did relist the auction as a BIN/BO, presumably to avoid this pest, but that could be just because the shill didn't do his job to get bidding high enough.

In short, there isn't enough evidence.  All evidence can go either way.

So bid or not as you wish as high as you are willing to go, or find another seller.

Changed my mind... leaning toward shilling.  Seller has canceled at least 2 of the bids within 2 minutes of bidding, and on one says 'bid on wrong item.'  Huh?  That doesn't make sense.  He got a message from the bidder asking him to cancel, and saw it, and did the cancel, all in less than 2 minutes?  Extremely unlikely.

Also, why hasn't he put this ID on his blocked bidder list, and why is he letting some of the bids stay?

I'm going now for a good 90% chance of shilling.

I would agree with entropii.

Why not ask the seller politely why they are not blocking that bidder from bidding rather than continually cancelling their bids ?

See what answer you get.

And of course you can report every suspicious listing. It may take eBay months to investigate, but they are pretty good at it.

I found the "bidder" in question. Their feedback score is 11 as you have noticed but they have 145 feedback received from only one seller.

The seller has left 80 feedback comments stating "Research Items More Closely & you will learn"; 1 that says "Please contact ebay about the automatic bid issue"; 34 that says "Hope you can resolve this Ebay issue" and 2 that says "I was understanding towards the buyers needs, sometimes mistakes are made".

Let's not leave out the wonderful feedback the "buyer" left for the seller. How about 6 that says "I never paid for item and seller hasnt blocked me, seller 100% good person" and 1 that says "Buyer Understands Being new on Ebay, getting the hang of things, A+". I guess the seller forgot which role they were playing and said buyer understands instead of seller understands.

With all of this, why would any suspect shill bidding? *wink*wink*
