I posted an item for auction and received an offer.  Can I accept the offer?  If so, what is the process for doing so?

Unless you have Best Offer on your listing the buyer is in violation of eBay policy by emailing you with an offer.

 

It is also a violation to end your listing early and sell to the buyer "off eBay"  Just don't do it.

 

I would not accept their offer. I would invite them to bid.

 

Experienced buyers always wait until the last minute to bid. You'll likely get more money if you wait.
