You know very well how to retract a bid, one is showing on your profile now.

Unless your reason/s are valid, retractions are reportable violations.

You already know how to retract a bid:

Bid Retractions Last (12) Months:    1

Bidding in "error" on EBAY is NOT possible........It is a TWO step process.........You actually have to "confirm" each bid placed.........

Unless you want another bid retraction that prospective sellers can see, (we cancel bids and block buyers that like to retract bids) then I suggest you contact the seller and ask them if they would please cancel your bid (you may end up blocked as well).

If you are not 100% sure you want an item, then use your "watch" list.

If you haven't won the items, ask the seller to cancel your bid. He doesn't have to, but he can do it.

Please, be careful what you bid or Buy it Now. It is a binding contract with the seller. If you find items you may want to bid on, put them in your Watch List until you are definitely sure you want to bid on the item.

When you win an item and don't pay, the seller can file an Unpaid Item dispute against you after 4 days. Then you have four days to pay. If you do not pay, you will get a strike against your account. Two strikes make it difficult to buy on ebay because a lot of sellers have their preferences set to reject bids from buyers with two strikes. It takes a year for a strike to go off your account.
