I am selling an item, bidding stops in 2 days. What happens if someone has reached my 'buy it now' price? Do I continue on until the end of the bidding period? Plus I have a bidder asking me why shipping was so high? This is my first time to sell an item, I did not know how to answer them. I see $6.05 for shipping & they see $33 for shipping.

 

Please can you help?

I am selling an item, bidding stops in 2 days. What happens if someone has reached my 'buy it now' price? Do I continue on until the end of the bidding period? Let the auction run.Your buy it now has disappeared now.

I see $29.90 shipping to my location,others will see a different cost.

Look at your listing.

There is no buy it now.

A buy-it-now disappears (for most items) when you receive a bid.

Let the auction run to completion.

You no longer have a Buy It Now price on your auction. In most categories it goes away with the first bid. The BIN price is neither a reserve amount nor a ceiling amount. The auction can go as high as someone is willing to pay. 

 

Pi don't know much about shipping matters. I see $29 shipping.

did you notice that your Buy It Now price has disappeared ?- as it  shoudl have done.

Your BIN no longer has anything to do with this auction.

When the auction ends you will need to sell to the highest bidder at whatever price  was reached.


And shipping would not be the same to you as it would to somewhere else.

to New York, for example it is $33.

sorry to take another spot.

 

The item plus shipping is over $200.

If the total goes to $250.00 you need to ship with signature confirmation to maintain seller protection, in addition to a delivery confirmation.

 

And shipping cost is dependent upon the buyer's location.  I see $8.

Yes you keep it going until the end-hopefully it will go even higher for you.

 

And you are seeing shipping to yourself-I am seeing $30 and change up here in NY as well.

if you had a BIN it's gone now, so yes, you just let the auction run to the end.....shipping shows $8 to me, all you could do is ask their zip and check it out here;

Your buy it now disappeared when bidding started, it no longer exists. The selling price will be the price shown at time zero. That could be more or less than what the BIN price was.

 

You are using calculated shipping so one see the shipping cost based on their own zip code. I see $333.95, you see less because we ave different zip codes and I'm about 1000 miles away.

Shipping is high because of the size and weight of the package and you are shipping Priority Mail. You can add the Parcel Post option if you like to give the buyer a lower-cost alternative (though delivery will take longer).
