If you missed the BIN, it's over.  Now it is auction style and the winner will get it at the highest bid.  You keep bidding, your price is going up.  You are not going to get the item at the BIN price any longer if it is gone.  With a Buy it now, after a few bids, the BIN option disappears and it becomes an auction style auction.

If you wanted to Buy It Now when the Buy It Now option was available, then you would have been able to do that. But that option goes away when bidding starts, so even though you feel you are entitled to win the item just because you bid the (long-gone) Buy It Now price, you aren't. Bidding can easily go above that price now. There is nothing going on but regular eBay bidding on an auction. It is you who needs to think like an adult here.

No, you didn't use the Buy It Now feature on that listing -- you placed the first bid. The auction is working correctly, the way it is supposed. There is no mistake. You have misunderstood how the BIN works.

The BIN is only available for the first bidder (in most categories, including that one). The first bidder gets a choice to use BIN and end the listing immediately, or place a bid and take their chances in the auction that follows. The BIN is not the "maximum" price the item can sell for -- its a chance for the first bidder (any bidder at that time) to end the listing and purchase the item immediately, for a higher price than the starting price.

You chose to start the bidding at the starting price, and take a chance that other buyers would bid the price up. That's how auctions are supposed to work.

You will not get it at the BIN price. That would not be fair to the other bidders who were willing to pay more than that, would it? And not fair to the seller.

If you are not willing to pay more than the BIN  price, then you need to stop bidding NOW. And don't complain about the price after the auction ends, either. If you win, then pay the price the happily. If you're not willing to pay that much, then don't bid that much.

The BIN is NOT a ceiling price. No, you will not get it at the BIN price. The "adults" are already here, and they know how eBay bidding works.

You used the "bid" button instead of the "buy it now" button, so the BIN disappeared and the auction continues on.

I would say you have a very happy seller.

Seems to me that the first bid was placed not by the OP but by the bidder shown as h***1 (5), who placed a bid on Dec. 1 at 03:02:25, before the OP's first bid at 06:26:55.

As the others have noted, the BIN option is only available until the bidding begins (with a few exceptions related to reserves and categories, that don't apply here). So when  h***1 placed the opening bid, at the minimum amount, that would have "killed the BIN. Surely he now regrets that choice, if the bidding has passed the BIN price. However, the seller is probably delighted and relieved, since the item will now sell for whatever price the auction reaches.

eBay has lately been putting the BIN price in the bid confirmation email, even when the BIN had been killed long before the bidder getting the confirmation entered his/her bid.

So now people get confused or angry over being quoted a BIN price that, as far as they are concerned, was never available.  My guess is the OP saw the BIN price in the confirmation and, since there was no BIN button, thought bidding that amount would invoke the BIN (why else would eBay have told him/her the BIN price unless it was something that could be obtained in some way)?
