The buyer said he was in an accident and was in the hospital and never received the notices for non payment. I closed the case and received final value credit. How can I reverse that because he now wants to pay.

You cannot reverse the NPB strike.

All too often, bad buyers suddenly realise that two NPB strikes prevent them from bidding on many auctions, so they start inventing tales to tell the sellers.

Remember, it takes more than one NPB strike in a whole year to allow sellers to block those bad bidders!

There is no deal to be salvaged at this point, it was closed when the refund was issued and the strike issued.

YOu need to relist the item, let the buyer start from scratch, you could set the opening bid at the agreed upon price, then end the auction early as soon as he makes his bid. Or set it up as a bin, but the listing fee is free if you haven't used up your fifty for the month if  you do it as an auction.

Wish my fingers would pay closer attention to what I spell correctly.

By the way, no reason to feel sorry for the bidder, they had ample opportunity to either pay or offer a reason why they could not before the transaction was closed by the dispute.

Also, closing an unpaid item case prohibits the buyer from leaving bad feedback for that transaction.

If he buys something else from you, then he can leave bad (retaliatory) feedback.

I suggest the blocked bidder list?
