do you leave positive feedback for a seller who sends an item that isn't as described, is used instead of new, doesn't fit the equipment in the description? If they refund your money, are you giving positive feedback? neutral?

Feedback is voluntary. If the seller resolved the problem then maybe no feedback is best. If you had to fight for a refund then leave appropriate feedback.

I've had that happen to me.  I chose to leave no feedback at all.  It wasn't a positive experience, but it wasn't bad enough to damage the seller's reputation with less-than-positive feedback.

If you bought an item from Walmart and had to return it would that be a negative experience?

How were you treated when you asked for a refund? What was your overall experience like? Don`t just rate the refund portion of the transaction. There was more to it than that.

You can also leave no feedback.

Personally I would not give any FB. It's not required and it's optional.

You say they did refund you? If you do give FB, you could give positive and comment that item was not as described but seller did give refund. Rate the stars accordingly.

feedback is supposed to reflect your opinion of all parts of the transaction.

everyone responding here will give you their opinion.

but it is you that was involved in this transaction - not us.
