SCAM

Especially if for a vehicle

Delivery Confirmation is now called "Tracking" BUT seems to still be Delivery Confirmation Copy & Paste from USPS site >> If you shipped with Express Mail®, you’ll get point-by-point tracking details. If you used another service—USPS Tracking™, Certified Mail™, Registered Mail™ —you’ll see when it went out for delivery.

I believe escrows are acceptable for both ebay motors and real estate listings.

so it would depend on what it is you are buying...which you neglected to state.

Money gram is a prohibited payment type on ebay.

Is this for the Sportster?  His listing says cashier's check or money order.  But you also left him neg. FB saying he was looking for more money.

If it's a totally different sale, that you did not purchase on Ebay, then it is a scam.  Ebay has nothing to do with any other sites, especially Craigslist.  This is a common scam, where they use Ebay's name to make themselves look legit.  The escrow account, which will be non-traceable, is the seller's pocket.  Moneygram & Western Union are often used in scams, because they cannot be tracked.

SCAM!!!!

eBay does not act as an escrow service for anything, they do not handle payments at all.

Never rely on eBay nor emails for accurate payment information. Login to PayPal!

ebay does support escrow service for transactions on ebay motors.

from ebay help pages

You should only use Escrow.com, eBay's approved escrow service.

you can read more about it here
