Why can't I leave feedback on a seller? Automatic message is telling me I have to have been a member for 5 year. Seriously?

Today is your fifth day.  You should have no trouble leaving your feedback tomorrow.

EBay likely put this in place so that buyers with a grudge against a seller can't start a new account, buy something, then immediately leave bad feedback.

Just be patient and leave your feedback tomorrow.

Correct

You must be an eBay  Member for more than 5 days.

This is an insurance policy against a User creating a new ID just to leave a seller bad feedback

Hi bonuglce

There is a big difference between 5 years (as in the title of your message) and 5 days (what you quote from the notice).

When it has been 5 days - to the minute - you'll be able to leave feedback.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

5 days. Seriously.

What's the big deal about a few more hours?

Hopefully are referring to a positive feedback, correct?

Because to join on Dec 23 and leave your first bad feedback on Dec 28 will result in your being blocked from bidding by most sellers as a buyer who doesn't understand the feedback system.
