How to revise negative feedback

How to revise negative feedback
Nov 10, 2012 06:40 AM

I received negative feedback for the first time in 8 plus years.  When I contacted the buyer to say she could send the item back for a full refund, she said I must have the wrong person because she did not leave negative feedback.  OKay, so I try to get a revision since she said she didn't intend to leave negative feeback.  Her reply to the Ebay email was that she was satified, and that I went the extra mile, but would not remove the negative feedback.  Is there something eBay can do to add her comment to the feedback?  Someone else at Ebay to help?

Also, I have over 563 feedbacks and 1 negative takes my rating down to 97.3%??  What's up with that?

Ugly isn't it and no, there is nothing you can do about the negative.  But, was the item brass or brass colored?

Someome looking specificly for brass may be unhappy (like your buyer) to find it's not really brass.

facts are all that matters in listings.

Did you send the revision request to the buyer? All she needs to do is accept the revision and eBay will remove the negative feedback. Go to the "site map" at the bottom of this page. On the upper right side is the link for revising feedback. All you need to do is to enter the item number, add your comment, then send it. I wouldn't add any additional comments at this point. If the feedback was left by mistake, eBay will remove it if you sent the revision request correctly. Good luck :)

,..." but would not remove the negative feedback."...

That doesn't make sense. She either didn't leave it as you say she said, or she isn't willing to change it??

There is nothing you can do.  Ebay will never get involved in FB unless it violates policy, which it does not.

You get one revision per transaction, and if she refused it then you are out of luck.  That is her prerogative.

Your FB calculation is as follows:  Positive's=47 Negative's+1

Positive's

______________

Positive's + Negative's

47

________________  = 97.9%

47 + 1

Upon receipt of the insurance claim payment to the seller by the carrier, the seller will issue a refund to the buyer

No. eBay will take the funds out of your paypal to refund the buyer. The buyer does not have to wait for any claims filed for your benefit.
