What is the safest way to ship an item to Belarus to avoid the buyer telling me he did not receive the item? Is it safe through USPS?

What is the safest way to ship an item to Belarus to avoid the buyer telling me he did not receive the item? Is it safe through USPS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently sold an IPHONE to Belarus. What is the safest way to ship this item? FedEx prices are outrageous.

Can I ship USPS?

I am being careful as I had problems in the past.

Please let me know.

Thanks.

You will need to research some type of Delivery Confirmation/Signature Confirmation.

Watch this thread as others will come along to help you.

No disrespect intended but wondering ... should you be selling Internationally if you don't know how to safely ship?

You have to use a tracking number and insure the package. It also has to be signed for if over 250.00.  Tracked EMS mail from USPS can do all that but, it costs.

Make sure you use signature confirmation if the phone sales price is over $250, otherwise seller protection is voided.

As you have found out, that is pretty expensive; but there is really no other way. The USPS has Global Express that can guarantee signature delivery, but is a parcel service that is contracted out to (guess who?)...FedEx.

It's going to cost a lot, but as iphones are the number one target of scammers, there is no other way to get guaranteed of not getting scammed.

DON'T USE tracked EMS to Belarus!

It depends on the Belarus postal service to get the signature. Belarus postal system is one of the lowest rated services on Earth, and you have NO guarantee of ever getting it back.

This is from several poor personal experiences. Out of 5 packages sent to Belarus via EMS, I got exactly NONE back signed.

you need to research the different options available to you for shipping before putting them in your listing

you need to ship with whichever carrier you put on your listing.

you selected fedex as the carrier for the iphone you have currently listed....did you also choose fedex for this transaction?

when I checked shipping cost to belarus, it came up as $35.00 for fedex economy.

you need to know if that includes tracking and signature required...and you can go to fedex.com for that answer.

Many people would suggest not selling that item on eBay at all, and even I would suggest that selling that high fraud item to a high fraud country with a relatively poor postal service is simply a very bad idea.
