buyer wants to add more shipping cost after sale

Paid for the cost and postage through PayPal for an item on ebay. Received an email from the seller saying package was mailed and the postage was 10.25 instead of the 4.99 that was on the listing.  I know its not much of a difference but wondering if I am responsible to pay this - guess just the principle.  Thanks for any input.

That is the same as you telling the seller you want to lower your bid.

It is not allowed.

You should pay for the auction from the listing based on the advertised S/H

Know these 4 things:
1) Buyer Protection - 45 days to file a claim
2) Auctions are binding contracts
3) Click on Customer Support to find all answers
4) Problems are resolved in the Resolution Center

Buyer's obligated to the amount as shown in the listing - as is Seller.

It is a policy Violation for seller to ask for additional funds at end of auction.

Email seller to say you anticipate your transaction to be completed as was listed.

" Received an email from the seller saying package was mailed and the postage was 10.25 instead of the 4.99 that was on the listing."

That's the seller's problem, not yours.
