How exactly did customer support close my open case without telling my anything about why it was closed and without refunding.

Member sold me a counterfeit flash drive. Said she would refund if I sent it back so I did. She didn't refund so I opened a case. I escalated it this morning and customer support closed it this afternoon as "resolved" but no refund and no details. Item was supposedly cover by buyer protection. I went to customer service and tried to appeal or find out details but the "appeal" selection they directed to is nonexistent apparently and further there is just a loop when trying to actually contact someone. Any suggestions other that justlet it go?

You should have an email saying what the outcome was.  Did you send it back with delivery confirmation?  If not, you will lose even if she got it back.  Or if it was over $250 & you didn't have signature confirmation.

...or you really were refunded.  Do you know how to tell in Paypal?

What kind of case did you open?   Was it an Item Not received case?  In that case you would lose because the seller can prove delivery.
