How did you get two buyers for one item?  I see you had two of the same coats sell on 12/6 - did you accidentally list the same item twice and they both sold?  that's quite awhile ago also and you should have already shipped by now.

I don't see how that can be.

I see you had 2 listings, both for navy pea coats, one sold for 14.50, the other for 18.53, both with free shipping.

Are you saying you only have one coat? And now two buyers because you listed it twice?

I sure hope not - else you just bought yourself a major violation, and earned the negative feedback you are sure to get.

To answer your question - open your PayPal account and click on the details button next to the payment, then the refund button.

Looks like you have a BIG problem. When I checked your sales, the last thing that looks like what you are asking about is 2 coats that sold on 12/6. Did you have the same coat listed twice by mistake? AND...you have waited 2 WEEKS to even think about shipping? Wow. You will be really lucky to survive as a seller like this. One red doughnut this early in your career is likely to get your seller privileges revoked by ebay....and you could EASILY get 2 for this.

You need to pick one buyer to ship it to IMMEDIATELY. Then you need to apologize to the other one and refund their payment NOW. How would you feel if you bought a coat and the seller didn't even attempt to ship for 2 weeks?

You're going to have to do some pretty heavy explaining to your buyer that you're refunding to keep from getting a negative and having them deny a transaction cancellation so you can get your fees back for the second coat sale.  The winning bidder is the first auction that ended for $18.53 - so you need to refund the second winner for $14.50 because technically the item was sold when they won it.

You made a big mistake by listing the same coat twice. Now you have to message both buyers and explain what happened. Since you are new, hopefully one of those buyers will gracefully do you a favor and allow you to send a cancellation request. Refund then send the cancellation request. If one of those buyers doesn't agree to cancel, you will pay final value fees on both auctions. You will still be open to any feedback they want to give so you will really need to beg forgiveness. Good luck.

Please read about selling on Ebay.  There are a million things to know.  You are already in trouble.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/selling-basics.html

There is no way that one item can be bought & paid for by 2 people, unless like angelgirl said, you listed it twice, or relisted it because you weren't happy with the price, which is a violation.

You are going to have to tell one of those buyers that you made a mistake & want to refund their money.  That buyer is probably going to be mad & leave you neg. FB.  You have to go into your Paypal account & click on item details for the buyer you want to refund.  Scroll down until you see a small refund link & click on that.  Then you have to confirm it (once or twice, I forget).

You also offered free shipping, which is probably going to cost what you made on the item.  Then you have to pay 9% fees on the item & shipping cost.

You have a 2 day handling time with a 4-5 day delivery time.  I sure hope you did ship it to one of them within 2 days.  If you didn't or haven't shipped it yet, you better check your email to make sure you haven't got a dispute opened on you.

How do you prevent this from happening?  You read everything you can about selling & you verify your listings.  I myself have accidently listed an item twice, but review my listings once in a while & caught it before 2 people were able to bid on both listings.

I don't mean to be harsh, but you just started & you're going to end up with a -1 FB, which is not good.

I am afraid you may have a hard time convincing anyone that the coat was double listed by accident or glitch.  You started the first one at 8:41, then had 2 bids on it by 9:47, then you listed the second one at 10.13.

That was not a mistake. You started the bid at .99 cents each listing.  Then you offered free expedited (priority) shipping.

For your sake, I really hope you had 2 peacoats.  But if only one, and if the first buyer did not get the coat by the 10th as promised. you may end up with 2 negs... and with 0 feedback to start with.... that is not good.  Sorry.
