His pieces are big. Some of them are like trychtopics...ie: multiple pieces complete the one picture. They are abstract. Any help would be appreciated!

He should get his own eBay account (if over 18); and search completed listings in relevant categories.

Art is one of those things that are hard to price, especially for unknown artists. It is worth what the buyer is willing to pay. Selling unknown artists products on ebay will be a crapshoot, as it will be tough for buyers to find him in any search until his name is known. Good luck, I hope he does well.

He would set his own prices.

You could check completed listings on eBay for the type of art he has available, but that may be difficult given the uniqueness of it. You might also be able to check local art galleries or artist coops if there are any in your area.

I know that's not much help, but I don't have any experience selling original artwork.  You might get some useful answers by posting your question over at the eBay Art and Artist Discussion Board. Here's the link: http://forums.ebay.com/db2/forum/Art-Artist/35

Best of luck!

He would probably do better on etsy. Everything on that site has to be hand made or vintage. There are a lot of artists doing well there.

Just say NO to Chinese junk!
