I have an online toy business starting and I would like to ship my  products in poly bags.  How do I calculate shipping costs and what is the best way to mail them?  Priority Shipping?  Do you use envelope or box rate?

What do you charge for shipping costs on items?

Calculate shipping by weighing and measuring, like any other package.

Priority is best, unless packaged item is 13 ounces or less, then use First Class Parcel.

There is not "box" rate. Your packaged item is a package.

I would not attempt to ship breakable toys in a poly envelope.

They are good for clothing and linnens (towels, bedding, etc).

You need to have a postal scale.

You put the item IN the bag or box - weigh and measure it.  Put the info into the calculated shipping section of the listing.  You always round UP.  An item that is 2 lbs 3 oz is 3 lbs.  A box measuring 6 1/2 " x 8 1/4" = 7 x 9".

Then - depending on where the BUYER lives - the postage will be charged for that buyer.  Buyers closer to you will pay less in shipping cost than those that live far away.
