eBay won't support this until next month.

Until then, you'll have to take it to the Post Office.

The Parcel Select option will not be available on eBay until March. You will have to purchase postage online through another source like Stamps.com or take the item to the post office.

If you take it to the post office you will have to pay more for the shipping.  The retail version of Parcel Select is Standard Post which is more expenseve.  You can only purchase Parcel Select online but not on eBay until sometime in March.

The USPS itself doesn't even offer online purchase (yet) of Parcel Select or Standard Post so why would Stamps.com? Add in the $15.99 per month for stamps.com (after 4 week free) and it may not be any cheaper than USPS.com or even hopping in your car or on mass transit for a trip to the PO.

I don't know, but I read the same thing. Apparently you CAN.

You have to take to post office. Just a heads up if you offer UPS for large items instead--they cancel your account if you haven't used in 6 mos and takes 3 days to reinstate you. When you try to send--it just says update your account on Paypal. 3 hours spent with dimwitted UPS goof balls and finally someone gave that info and the only way to send is pay on credit card and no discount or wait 3 days. If u r going to use UPS--make sure you call and are reinstated if u have not used in 6 mos. Postage is way too high now and International first class doubled, so people should change old listings if using flat fee.  My good deed for the day.:)

Standard Post was the replacement for Parcel Post.  When I asked at the post office the clerk at the counter didn't even know what Parcel Select was.  However, EBay doesn't give the option for Standard Post (don't know why).  From what I have read, Parcel Select is a Commercial product for big companies that ship in bulk.  It is not a retail product.  I haven't figured it all out yet.  I just offer Priority Mail or UPS Ground until I can get some better answers.  I don't want to have to go to the PO to buy my postage.

Sunny - do as I've done for 13 years now - take the item to the P.O.

Parcel Post is not available any more. There's a lot of confusion about what's going on.

Standard Post is the replacement for Parcel Post -- but it is only available retail, which means you have to buy it at the post office. It can't be purchased on line, so you can't (and won't be able to) buy it through eBay.

I guess maybe the post office might change their mind about that at some point, but that's what they have said at this time. You can't buy Standard Post online, only at the post office

Parcel Select is different from both of them. It can be purchased online, but eBay hasn't been able to reprogram their system to offer it yet. They have said it will be available in March. I don't know if you can buy Parcel Select at the post office or not. The USPS website indicates that it's "for businesses", and doesn't offer it in their Click-n-Ship online store.

In the meantime, eBay sellers who used to use Parcel Post don't have a good solution.

There are other websites like stamps.com, where you can buy Parcel Select. They offer a "free" account for eBay sellers, but it's only free for a limited time. I have searched their website, and without actually signing up for an account, I have not been able to find out what the fee structure is, or how much they charge once your free trial is over.

It would be great if someone who uses stamps.com would explain how that works.
