Due to safety concerns, many sellers will not allow local pickup. You do not have to allow it, and you do not have to supply your address.

If you decide you will allow local pickup, but are concerned about safety, I would suggest you agree to meet your buyer in a highly visible public place where there are plenty of people to keep you safe. I even met a seller once in front of a police station.

"centerhill" gave you some good advice. Remember no Pay Pal payments on pickup. Its allow the buyer to inspect and if satisfied they pay cash.

You will have no verifiable online proof of delivery with them picking up so you lose your seller protection. By requiring cash at pickup they lose their buyer protection which is only fair. If the balk at the cash requirement, then offer to be paid with a Money Order (Postal Money Order). Scammers will attempt to get you to accept the Pay Pal payment and then take the item home and file an Item Not Received claim. Have your buyer also sign a copy of the invoice under "Received (dated).

No you don't have to allow it and if you don't want to then don't. I will not do Local Pick Ups myself-a local one went very bad and I'm not comfortable with doing them.

Also unless your listing said Local Pick Up on it they shouldn't even be asking.

Whatever you decide to do make sure to get them in your blocked list so you don't have to deal with them again after this - good luck.
