How do I overcome the Selling Manager "You have specified invalid values in your payment details fields" error message

In Selling Manager I have double-checked the values shown but I still keep getting: "You have specified invalid values in your payment details fields"  This was an issue in 2004 - hasn't it been fixed yet?

Have you upgraded Selling Manager?  Maybe you need to download a new version?

Thanks Glenda but, as far as I can tell, Selling Manager is a service we use on the eBay website, rather than one we download to our computers.
