Sold a collectible $500 Bill. Should I insure this for shipping?

I don't think it would be wise to ship this without insurance. What if bill gets lost or damaged? Would appreciate response from others with experience.

Yes, and don't forget to add Signature Confirmation which is required for anything over $250.00

Hi.  Just so you realize this, you MUST use SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION ALONG WITH DELIVERY CONFIRMATION.  This is because once an items value reaches at least $250 you will have NO EBAY OR PAY PAL SELLER PROTECTION without both delivery confirmation (or tracking) AND signature confirmation.

ALSO INSURE it.

Good luck, Jim

Actually this is a very touchy subject for coin and currency sellers.  Most PO employees don't know actual USPS policy.  From what I read, it must be sent REGISTERED mail, and insured, it must have sold for more than face value, and you must keep proof of the sale.

For ebay seller protection, in addition to what others have said, of course you ship only to the address showing on the payment or label page.  This is true for all sales.
