I realized too late that the shipping amount on a similar listing was in same state, so it was automatically calculated much lower for me.  I mentioned this amount (12.00) in my listing of the same item, for economy shipping.  Now the shipping calculator is estimating 50.00-200.00 to various cities.  I never charge a handling or extra shipping fee, just actual shipping.  I don't want buyers to lose confidence or feel I'm ripping them off.  Can I edit my listing text to remove the reference to that shipping cost...or should I explain...?  Thanks in advance!

To my zip, shipping is estimated as:

US $17.15
United States
Economy Shipping (USPS Parcel Post®)

Buyers pay the winning bid plus the s/h fee stated in the shipping tab.  In other words, you will get the shipping as stated by the Shipping Calculator.

Methinks your $12 estimate is correct ... for someplace closer to Florida.

You cannot revise the  listing since you have bids..

wonder where these people are that are seeing $200 shipping?

It's in the $20s to northern NY state.

The shipping calculator is showing me $20.53 to the Texas panhandle. All the shipping methods you have furnished there seem to be acceptable to me.

You don't want to have to end the listing early, because you have bids. That wouldn't be fair to your bidders, and it would cost you a penalty as well.

You also can't revise at this point, as there are active bids.

That's going to make someone a very nice gift.

If there is a discrepancy in cost of shipping-the description saying one thing but the shipping details showing something else, the shipping details prevail.

They pay what the eBay invoice will tell them to pay.
