what is meant by the message that my payment is unclaimed

my item number is 150948758820    it is a nero 11 multimedia software program purchased on 12-9-12

 

I have not received the merchandise and my account with paypal says "payment unclaimed".  Can you simply cancel the payment  and end the transaction or what other steps can we take?

That message means paypal is unable to associate the payment with a seller, most likely because there was a typo in the sellers email address he furnished when setting up the listing.

 

Contact the seller, suggest he contact paypal and straighten this out.


Wish my fingers would pay closer attention to what I spell correctly.

The seller has 0 FB, which means he is a new seller. He probably does not have his account set up right. His email address on Pay Pal and his email address on his listings have to be the same if he wants paid.
