you can use your credit card as a guest thru paypal, but you can only do that so many times till you have to open your own acct.Or find a seller that takes a method you prefer. A seller cant divulge all the payment methods he takes like check or postal m.o as if you pay this way you void Buyer Protection

You can pay using your credit card for anything on eBay when there is a PayPal logo through PayPal. You don't have to have an account. Ever notice the logo? Take a look at it and notice all the card logos on it. You can use any of those or even your checking account without a card.

What do you mean your bank does not support PayPal? You have misunderstood something. Never heard of such a thing in the states.

No bank "supports" paypal, not really sure what you mean by that. No need for any bank to support Paypal.

If you are going to function properly on ebay you need Paypal service. Paypal is two things, (1) it is the credit and debit card processor for at least ninety percent of ebay sellers and that is what  most buyers use it for. (2) It enhances what most credit card processors provide by also allowing acceptance of checks and facilitates the movement of funds between your bank account and your paypal account. To the average buyer this means that in event of a return refund not processed with a credit card it is easy to move the funds from paypal to your bank account.

There is nothing to fear about paypal, been used by millions for a number of years without incident as far as hacking or other intrusions are concerned. It provides additional protection because your personal info like credit card number, debit card number or bank account number are never ever revealed to anyone else, the seller simply receives payment without any of your personal info associated with it.

Another major benefit, you will never be embarassed by a rejection for lack of funds if you tie either a credit card or your bank account to your paypal account, giving paypal a backup source of funds works the same way as your bank's overdraft protection policy, if funds are not available from the source you specified paypal with use the backup source automatically.

Wish my fingers would pay closer attention to what I spell correctly.

Did you even go to PayPal and (try to) open an account? Banks don't have to "support" PP or not, in order for you to do this.

It is very important to know that when you use PayPal as a guest to buy something you cannot receive a refund unless you open up a PayPal account. Getting around having an account by paying as a guest is not really a good idea.

You do not need to use a bank account with PayPal, you can and should register a credit card.
