I have listed some items that have stock photos, but they seem to disappear when I re-list an item, so I have no photo on the item page.

When I re-list some books, CDs or DVDs that had stock photos in the original listings, the photos sometimes don't show up and I get an error message-code 8.

listings are required to have at least 1 picture of the actual item. the stock picture cannot be the only picture in your listing.

" Stock Pictures " can be used but only for new items not for used items.

In some catagories eBay actualy supplies stock pictures.

"When using our catalog to list a used item, don't use a stock photo. Upload a picture of the item that shows its condition."

eBay doesn't allow stock photos to be used for used items any longer, all you need to do to fix the problem is take a picture and upload it to your computer.

The picture can't contain any writing, other than a watermark, and can't have any borders or frames. The bidders will be able to see the exact item you have for sale.

How does it work with quantity listings then ?

There are 100 items avaliable there is no way every buyer can receive the one in the picture ?

To further clarify,

The number one picture in the listing has to be an exact picture of the item for sale.

You are still allowed to use stock photos on the listing in the other slots, but not on the photo that displays on the listing page or on the gallery.

Thank you all for your help- but this is from the eBay ingo on posting photos:

"Stock photos may no longer be used as the primary photo for a used item listing. Catalog images are acceptable, but not as the primary photo for non-new items; exceptions are the Books, Movies, Music, and Video Game categories. Video Game Consoles, however, must adhere to the new requirement."

This is what I am listing, so what gives?
