Buyer bought item through BIN for $25.00. Couple of hours later emailed me

Buyer bought item through BIN for $25.00. He paid. A couple of hours later he said cancel my order. When I go to paypal to refund, should I put in $25.00 or $26.00? I kept thinking they charge a fee for that?

What do I need to do? Anything else I need to know?

Thanks

PayPal does not charge a fee for refunding. But be sure you open the actual transaction in PayPal and use the "refund" link. Do not use the "send money" option.

Are you sure they don't charge a fee to refund? I did it 1 time and I thought they kept a small amount.

So just put $25 in the refund amount and that's it?

Thanks in advance.

mrsmtn: "PayPal does not charge a fee for refunding."

What part of that sentence don't you understand?

---

Now, instead of worrying about PayPal, you should be worrying about your Final Value Fees, which will be greater than any PayPal fees.  When you refund, you're just agreeing to pay those fees, plus the Insertion Fee you already paid.

Either carry through with the transaction, or start a Cancel Transaction process to get you FVF fees back.

Actually I did understand. :) But I wanted to make sure I did it the right way for the buyer. I would want someone to treat me the same way.
