How long do buyers have to respond to a case once Ebay makes a decision on the claim?

Buyer filed claim, seller escalated claim, EBay made final decision in buyers favor, buyer has yet to respond to decision, but keeps emailing seller claiming that he will not return item..but still wants his refund...this was not part of the final decision made by EBay...how long does buyer have to respond to claim decision and send back item??

If the buyer does not comply with ebays decision, and accept it formally; ebay will usually close the case after 7 days.

AND...sellers should NEVER escalate a buyers claim. It is automatically found in favor of the buyer when you do that.

If the buyer doesn't return the item to you, then you don't have to refund the money.

To centerhill- the seller only escalated the claim because it had been going on for 3 weeks already and the buyer kept chaning the story about the item, wanting reimbursement etc....thought it would just end things. The decision is actually a fair one, but the buyer still hasn't responded to the decision and it's been 6 days. Also, does that mean the funds will no longer be frozen when the case is closed?
