Was that merely an email, or was it also a message in your eBay My Messages?

Who sent you the email?

We cannot see the email ... was there any truth in the accusation?

Do you have a question instead of just a statement?

The question is, is this a real email? It's from eBay and I haven't left any bad comments or threatening ones. I'm trying to figure out what was susposibly said if.

If it was from ebay it would come through ebay messaging as well, not just your email. If you have not received it through ebay messaging, I would advise you to forward that email to ebay as spoof. Has happened to me before. If you have received through both ebay messaging and your email then call customer service before answering any emails.

 It's from eBay

Do you know how to reveal and read email headers?

The headers are fairly complex strings that show where the email really originated.

Suggest you forward that suspicious email, including all headers, to

spoof@ebay.com

You should get an automated answer soon thereafter.

We cannot tell if your email is or is not really from eBay, since we have not seen the contents of the email!

We  really have been trying to help you, but you have given us insufficient information upon which to make an unqualified response.

Without seeing the message, we do not know its contents.

I believe you said the message was in your My Ebay, but you also said the contact method "made no sense" ... but you did not give us either the message or the "contact path".

We have almost reached the maximum number of slots in this thread, so it may be impossible to answer any other posts you might make.  If you wish to discuss this problem further, maybe the Discussion Boards would be a better choice, since you and the DB responders have an unlimited number of exchanges.

Feedback extortion is more apt to be based on comments made in messages, not on prior feedback you've left.  Some sellers are very skittish about the mention of feedback in messages, regardless of how innocent the buyer's intentions are.

E.g., simple statements like... I appreciate you refunding my return shipping cost, and will leave feedback after I get it.

If you've been in any type of contact with a seller, and you mentioned feedback, it's possible the seller sent a report to eBay.

Good luck!
