I recently sold an item and the buyer has not paid. Why do I need to wait for his approval to cancel the sale? I am losing potental buyers.

No response from bidder.  now I must wait an additinal 7 day to see if he wants to cancel or I do not get credit for my final value fee.  It seems like this situation is in favor of the buyer.  While I wait, I am losing second chance buyers.

The alternative is "iffy" at best.

You could end up with 2 paying buyers - one item.

That makes for a good chance of a negative and a bunch of low star marks.

You sent a Cancel Request?  Big mistake.  Never send one of those without mutual agreement.  You are supposed to file Unapid Item on day 4 and wait 4 more days and give a strike.

When exactly was this 'recent' sale?
