I held an ebay auction and the buyer paid for the item.  When getting ready to ship I find that the item has been broken.  What do I do?

Apologize to the buyer, show a photo of the breakage to prove you aren't just trying to avoid selling, and refund immediately.

Unless you have an identical item to send, then you notify the buyer explaining your dilemma, and you refund IMMEDIATELY...........

See if they will agree to a cancel transaction request...........This way you will get your final value fees back.....
