No, it's not possible. CL has warnings about scams like this. You should read them.

STOP

That is fraud.  Have no further communications with the thief.

Ebay and Craigslist have no affiliation.

Crook.  Thief.  Ripoff.  Fraud.  Crime.      Kapeesch?

Read the warnings plastered all over craigslist.

Kraloe's response was short, to the point, and correct.

Here is a much longer version, in case you need more words to convince you that you will be scammed.

Please read the information at this link:

http://www.pirsquare.notlong.com/scams.html#craig

These should be required reading to help avoid being scammed:

* Jenny Lake and Silverstrad's 13 Red Flags To Warn a Bidder of a Fraudulent Transaction:

http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/red-flags

* My little contribution to educate both bidders and sellers about some of the scams on eBay:

* Various other warnings about Craigslist scams, that go back for years:

* Kiiji warnings:

Important Safety Tips:

Avoid fraud by meeting all sellers in-person to pay for items.

Never send or wire money to people you do not know or trust.

eBay Classifieds does not offer any transaction or payment services.

Stay safe - read our safety tips

If you were unaware of those warnings, please tell us a better way you could have been warned.

Remember, if the item is not listed ON eBay, and if you do not buy the item ON eBay, you do not have full eBay or PayPal buyer protection!

Did you get an email, supposedly from "eBay" telling you their agent will handle this?

If you want further confirmation the email  you received is a scam, forward the   emails to car@ebay.com

Oh ... let us know if you avoided being scammed.  Click on the "Comment" link in this thread.

Too many words?

Too many choices of where to click?

Overloaded with information, and just wanted a simple "yes" or "no"

Well, here is more for you to read, if you want to stay safe on eBay!
