What should I do if a winning bidder does not want the item because he failed to read the item description and does not pay.

The winning bidder emailed me to tell me sorry but he did not read the description of the item before bidding. He then said he should not have to pay for something he does not want and that he thought that he would be out bid. If this bidder did not bid I would have sold the item to the first bidder. What type of feedback should I leave and how do I report him. I have sent a second chance offer to the first bidder but there is no guarantee that he still wants it. more…

Seller will not pay, cancel the sale, cancel seller's fee.

Winning bidder was told by ebay, he was outbid and let it go. The higer bidder, apparently withdrew bid, making 1st bidder winner by default, 12 hrs later.  1st bidder can't complete sale, bought another car after being told he was outbid.  I should not be charged sellers fee after ebay allowed highest bidder to withdraw, causing this problem.   I want ebay to cut my buyers fee and cancel this sale.  Go after the bidder who withdrew. fbf48611    more…

shouldn't have I received an email from ebay stating I won an item?

never got an email from ebay stating I won an item.  I bid on a similar item and won that, then went to pay for it and saw I won the other same item.  It was a little too late.  I wouldn't have bid an the other item had I won the first one.  now i'm stuck with two of the same thing and buyer wont' cancel.  I feel its ebay fault since I didn't get an email from them saying I WON an item.  what do I do? more…

I bid on an item, and it went above my max bid, then about an hour later, it was back down about $20, is this legit? It is now saying I won?

Item listed, price in GBP

I just bought an item that listed the price as 7.99 GBP.  It was one that you chose what item you wanted in a list of items.  Below the price it said $4.40.  I bought it now and it turned out that with postage it came to $15.60 USD.  Has anyone else had to pay more than they thought they were going to pay because the cost was in GBP and didn't change to the correct USD before they purchased the item.  I was going to dispute this but decided to just pay it and learn a lesson.   more…

I notice some bidders have (private) after their name, rather than a number indicating successful bids. What is the benefit of this?

It would seem that the more successful bids shown, the higher the level of credibility.
